Vertex completes acquisition of ATS

Vertex Interactive, Inc., Clifton, N.J., acquired Applied Tactical Systems (ATS), Fairfield, N.J., a provider of connectivity software for SAP installations worldwide with $10 million in annual revenues. The transaction is valued at approximately $26 million.

ATS is expected to double revenues during 2001. This comes from a demand for interactive, real-time enterprise level supply chain management solutions.

As a result of the acquisition, Vertex now offers a unique suite of software connectivity tools, which allows seamless connection into all SAP applications with more than 20,000 installations worldwide.

"ATS's software products provide easy and seamless connectivity of our extensive supply chain management solutions into the entire SAP installed base," says Nicholas Toms, joint chairman and CEO of Vertex.
