Your right to a
safe workplace
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has a new plain language workplace poster (OSHA 3165) that gives workers and employers information they need to make sure their workplace is safe.
In keeping with the goals of the National Partnership for Reinventing Government, the new poster tells workers that they have the right to a safe workplace, how they may file a complaint, report an emergency, or seek OSHA advice, and that they have a right to confidentiality.
Employers do not need to replace the current 2203 posters
they already have, but are required to post this poster in a prominent location.
The posters are free and may be downloaded from the OSHA Web site, www.osha.gov, or call any OSHA office.
