What's that warehouse job worth?
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 10/1/2000
A new benchmarking resource, "Warehousing Salaries and Wages," published by the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), looks closely at the compensation levels for seven key positions: director of logistics, general manager, operations manager, customer service manager, warehouse supervisor, forklift operator, and orderpicker.
The book breaks down the data according to company type, union/non-union facilities, geographic region, and company size based on the number of employees and warehouse space.
