Menlo Logistics, a worldwide logistics company, has finalized a logistics service agreement with INC2inc, a business-to-business supply chain solution provider for the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
"INC2inc is a direct replenishment solution for food and beverage ingredients and packaging that enables companies to transact business very effectively and efficiently with trading partners. It leverages the Internet to streamline physical, financial, and information flows," says Hill Pratt, INC2inc's vice president of business development.
He says this will lead to lower costs and better service than the food industry has historically enjoyed. Jim Fields, vice president business development at Menlo, says its going to be easier to do business now than the traditional way. "This is going to automate those processes done manually before."
Under the agreement, Menlo is integrating its Web-enabled logistics capabilities and transportation tool set into INC2inc's e-commerce suite, which has been operational since this year's second quarter. This will allow INC2inc's trading partners to leverage real load tracking and tracing through the Internet, along with continuous move optimization, and the ability to consolidate, expedite, reschedule, and divide shipments at any time in the shipping cycle.
