MARC becomes a triad of companies
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 11/1/2000
Almost a year ago, TRW decided to sell its MARC supply chain software business. Last month, an international investment group led by Washington Investment Partners and TRW Inc. finalized a sales agreement for MARC products and services as well as FACE B.V., a wholly owned European subsidiary of TRW.
An independent holding company, MARC Global Holdings, Inc., Ashburn, Va., was formed as a result.
To provide integrated IT solutions to the supply chain execution arena, the new organization has become a triad of companies with separate products and services organizations.
MARC Global Holdings focuses on the finance and marketing of both MARC products and services in the supply chain execution arena. MARC Global Systems focuses on product research and development and product marketing while MARC Global Services focuses on implementation services, a solution center, and sales with regional offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia/ Pacific.
Bob Kennedy is vice president and general manager of the Americas for MARC Global Services. Ron Riggin is vice president and general manager of MARC Global Systems.
