Show for Web-based Internet exchanges debuts

The 2000 premier of the SupplyWebExchange conference and exposition is dedicated to building and using Web-based Internet exchanges for all major industry sectors in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. The event is scheduled for November 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, in Chicago Ill., and will feature more than 50 exhibitors.
The two-track conference program includes technology presentations on infrastructure, back-end systems integration, and inter-company document transfers. Business presentations on partner collaboration, community building, and Web-based buying and selling practices will also be included as well as a full-day, pre-show seminar on electric business XML strategies.
Harold R. Kutner, group vice president of worldwide purchasing at General Motors Corp. and board member of the Covisint trading exchange, will deliver the opening keynote lecture on "Start-up challenges facing industrial B2B marketplaces."
