Tompkins Associates is morphing
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 12/1/2000
James A. Tompkins, Ph.D., president of Tompkins Associates, strongly believes that markets are continuously morphing. And if a company wants to prosper over the long term, it needs to practice the art of continuous change.
In order to satisfy their clients with more of an end-to-end service, Tompkins is working to create a world-class materials handling integration capability within the firm. To achieve this goal, Tony Gerase, formerly of Lockheed-Martin, has been hired as partner, materials handling integration dimension. He will work out of a new Tompkins office in Orlando. Another objective of the move is to offer total turnkey systems deployment and focus on e-fulfillment and retail distribution.
Looking towards the future, Tompkins says, "we have morphed, but we're not done morphing."
