U.S. to be guest of honor at Manutention 2001
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 12/1/2000
For the first time in its history, Manutention, the largest European logistics event, will hold one country in the spotlight-the United States. In cooperation with Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) and certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce, this cooperation will promote American handling and logistics.
Manutention will be held March 13-16, 2001 in the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in France. It will attract 700 exhibitors from over 25 countries on 375,000 sq. ft. of space and 40,000 trade visitors from over 60 countries are expected.
The 26th biannual event, organized by trade show producer Exposium, will present a comprehensive equipment and systems and technology showcase, including industrial trucks, lifting, and warehouse equipment. In addition, Manutention will be expanded to better meet the needs of materials handling companies by adding two dedicated areas-an organization and logistics systems area and a bulk and logistics area.
Manutention will also host PACK-LOG; the first trade show dedicated to protective packaging, storage, and shipping.
An USA Pavilion will feature American materials handling companies, industry trade publications, and a welcome center from the U.S. Embassy.
