Manhattan buys Intrepa

Manhattan Associates, Inc., a provider of supply chain execution and collaboration solutions, has signed an agreement to acquire Intrepa LLC, a developer of supply chain solutions for traditional and e-business transportation and distribution. The deal is worth $30 million.
The combined company is expected to strengthen Manhattan's leadership role in the supply chain execution market. It adds more than 250 end users concentrated in vertical markets outside of Manhattan's core base of experience in the retail supply chain. Manhattan will also gain a broader footprint of software and services with Intrepa's Tier 3 NT-based products.
In addition, Intrepa brings over 100 experienced employees to Manhattan. "We really respect their people," says Alan Dabbiere, chairman of the board at Manhattan.
Manhattan expects to derive $14-18 million additional revenue from Intrepa this year. Manhattan analysts estimate sales next year to be $160-175 million, inclusive of Intrepa.
Intrepa will stay in its Mishiwaka, Ind. location but most likely won't stay under the Intrepa name.
"It's a great acquisition for us," says Dabbiere, "we're a stronger company together."
