e-commerce spurs new identity for Lockheed

The Lockheed Martin businesses that you may have known as Postal Systems, Postal Technologies Incorporated, or Material Handling Solutions are now operating under a new identity. The new name, Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies, hopes to define the company more universally with their customers as the rapid acceptance of e-commerce changes the way people do business.
"As a premium provider of leading-edge automation technology, we're expanding into the e-commerce market and expect this new economy to fuel tremendous growth," says Michael B. Schoultz, president of Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies.
While the organization and management remains the same, the change customers will see is their increased ability to provide comprehensive automation solutions.
The company sells and integrates systems and equipment used to automate mail processing, order fulfillment, and package distribution.
