Trade fair marks new logistics age

Logistica 2000 is expected to mark the start of a new age in materials handling and logistics operations.

This international trade fair, held in Jaarbeurs Utrecht, Netherlands, October 30 - November 4, 2000, is held every 3 years.

Visitors are given an excellent picture of the total international logistics market with a special emphasis on the continued integration of internal and external logistics operations.

A popular event is the Scala Logistica, a life-size operating warehouse situation, which allows visitors to witness all kinds of systems in operation-familiarizing them with the latest solutions and innovations in practice.

Ample attention will also be given to the growing information technology, as well as everything having to do with packaging. Additional topics this year will be outer packaging and bar coding.
