APICS heads to Orlando
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/2000
The primary topic of interest in Orlando next month will not be Mickey Mouse or Disney Magic. Instead, resource management will be covered in great depth at the APICS International Conference & Exposition, October 22-25.
Some 4,000 attendees will choose topics and sessions to attend from more than 120 professional development programs slated for the event.
Topics include: How to stay positive in a tough work environment; Four ways to triple your inventory returns; 12 keys to master schedule success; and Light the fire within: Create more enthusiasm in your employees.
At the concurrent show, more than 175 exhibitors will showcase their latest technologies. Exhibit hall hours are 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
APICS also provides on-site opportunities to take its certification exams and tutorials related to its Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) status.
To register for the event, book hotel reservations, or find out other details on the conference and/or exhibitors go to APICS Web site, www.apics.org , or call APICS at 800-444-2742.
