Transform your supply chain through the Internet
Are you using the Internet to transform how your supply chain operates? Chances are you probably don't even know all that's necessary to exploit this great opportunity.
The third edition of the Achieving Supply Chain Excellence Through Technology (ASCET) project focuses on the ways in which companies, such as Microsoft, Logility, and Manugistics, have built new processes and business models to better utilize the full potential of Internet capabilities in their supply chains.
The 336-pg book is sorted into five main categories: Vision, design and manufacturing, e-markets, collaboration, and fulfillment. Included are articles, white papers, and case studies written by academics and business professionals. By becoming a member of the ASCET project, the book is free (a $450 value).

How's your motor running?
Better yet, can you answer using key motor terminology? Even if you think you can, check out a new glossary of motor terminology that every motor user should know and understand.
It covers over 200 terms such as axial thrust, capacitor, and Wk2. Also included is a cut-out diagram of AC and DC motors to illustrate components.
Visit the Allen-Bradley Drives and Motors Web site for a copy of the glossary at www.ab.com/drives/motors.

New this year is a Web site index for quick reference of corporate URLs. The directory also features quick-find company indexes categorized by product, industry, and application. Full contact information is listed for each supplier, including e-mail.
In addition, the article, "Why robots make sense for your company," is included, which highlights case histories from end users such as Pepperidge Farms.
