Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 8/1/2001
Finding a solution to your toughest packaging challenges should be easy at this year's Pack Expo Las Vegas 2001 tradeshow (www.packexpo.com). After all, more than 950 exhibitors will be on hand to help solve your packaging woes.
Over 17,000 attendees, including visitors from 60 countries, are expected at the Sands Expo and Convention Center Sept. 10-12. Exhibitors will showcase advances in industrial packaging machinery, materials, and containers.
The show's sponsor, The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), has partnered with Packaging Strategies to produce the Packaging Solutions Conference Program. It will feature three concurrent sessions each day of the show. Presentations from over 50 speakers will focus on topics such as advanced technologies, machine efficiencies/line productivity, and e-manufacturing/networked commerce.
Highlights of the conference include a presentation by Keith Nosbusch, president, Control Systems, Rockwell Automation, on "Making sense of e-manufacturing: A roadmap for manufacturers."
Stephen Hess, director of packing, Merck &Co., will discuss "Packaging challenges & opportunities in a consolidating, global pharmaceutical market."
