Fast, accurate, paperless order picking

The DigitalPick pick-to-light system provides flexibility for picking individual items as well as split case orders. Its unique carrier-on-wire system and snap-on/snap-off light displays can be arranged and then reconfigured as needed. Lights show workers where and how many items to pick, eliminating wasted time searching for products. The system can also be set up so the lights stop flashing when pressed, but the quantity stays lit for several seconds so workers can double-check their accuracy. This system is designed for ready integration with existing information systems. It works with most warehouse management software and supports both bar code and radio frequency based picking.

Speedy, accurate orderpicking

Orderpicking is fast and accurate with the Pick Mate II. It is designed to put pick-to-light capabilities within reach of any warehouse, distribution center, or product fulfillment operation. The system's graphical order-handling front end puts users in complete control of their orders. Users can sort and select orders by a wide range of criteria, and reprioritize them on demand from any workstation on the network.

Inventory management for pick-to-light

FastPic4 inventory management soft- ware's open interface allows users to manage pick-to-light operations. Companies can expand use of the software beyond pick-to-light systems to include multiple workstations, carousels, vertical lift modules, shelving, and rack. The software runs on Microsoft Windows on top of SQL database technology for easy integration.

Paperless order fulfillment

The PickDirector paperless order fulfillment system combines proprietary rack and modular software for operational flexibility that accommodates changing product mixes, seasonal variations, and throughput growth. As product volume changes, the space devoted in the rack to each stock keeping unit can be enlarged or reduced in seconds simply by removing and/or relocating the detachable display face at each slot location. The display plugs into a continuous, self-sealing power rail that runs the length of the rack. Four different display face options are available. There are no cables or wires to move or re-attach when display faces are moved. The software's modules are fully integrated and communicate with each other, making re-configuration simple.

Solution for manual and automated systems

A flexible pick-to-light system provides fast and easy integration to multiple technologies. Multiple plug and play module configurations allow for using pick-to-light in flow rack, horizontal carousels, vertical lift modules, vertical carousels, and shelving. Universal workstation configurations that use multiple technologies such as flow rack and carousels are easily driven with this system, assuring maximum accuracy and throughput. A wide variety of light modules and housings are available to meet picking and putting applications.

Carousel picking systems

Light-directed picking modules on carousels are designed to communicate messages between computer and operator while they assure operator productivity and accuracy. Displays are daisy chained within the light trees and sort bars on a single cable, making it easy to add or reconfigure displays. All displays are non-volatile, rotary switch type addressing. The picking modules offer networked power and communication between all displays using an RS-485 cable. Big, bright, light displays are easy to read at over 20 feet and virtually any angle. The modules are configurable with up to 48 alpha numeric displays that can be mixed and matched in the same system, and have the ability to display custom messages to the operator. Displays are adjustable in height, position, and configuration with no tools or rewiring necessary.

Order selection and fulfillment

The CartRite pick-to-light cart with wireless communication is tailored for picking operations with large numbers of medium-to-slow moving SKUs. It offers accurate, high-speed picking for areas not equipped with a pick-to-light system, handling 80% of products that constitute 20% of a company's volume. CartRite combines computer controlled loose or split case picking with batch processing. The system controls batch picking into shipping cartons or totes by directing users to the proper warehouse location for each pick and indicating the quantity required for each carton. Users induct cartons onto the cart. Via the display on the portable PC, the system directs the user to each product pick location, prompts them to confirm the location, and indicates the quantity required for that batch.
