Learn to forge relationships in a changing economy
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/2001
This month learn how to forge collaborative relationships with supply chain partners that are absolutely invaluable in this age of economic uncertainty.
That will be focus of more than 500 speakers at The Council of Logistics Management's (www.clm1.org) 2001 annual conference, September 30-October 3, at the Kansas City Convention Center, Kansas City, Mo.
"Acquiring the knowledge and the skills necessary to learn how to develop these relationships in a fast-paced, technology-driven arena is critical, not only for business success, but for business survival, as well," says general conference chairperson, Elijah Ray, senior vice president, Standard Corp.
Warren Bennis will deliver the keynote address, "Organizing genius: The power of partnerships and teams." Bennis is a university professor of business administration at the Marshall School, as well as founding chairman of The Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California.
The conference is structured into 44 concurrent tracks with over 500 speakers. Attendees can choose to attend workshops, dialogue sessions, and facility tours.
If you arrive early for the conference, you might want to attend the annual Logistics Educators' Conference on Sunday, Sept. 30. Logistics educators will present papers covering a wide range of logistics issues.
