Vertex Interactive buys Plus Integration
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 10/1/2001
Supply chain execution solutions provider Vertex Interactive Inc. will buy the issued and outstanding capital stock of Plus Integration Supply Chain Solutions, a private supply chain management software and services provider, headquartered in the Netherlands.
This is in exchange for 40 million newly-issued shares of Vertex common stock, and is expected to close by the end of this year. Revenues of the combined company are expected to be $120 million this year.
The merger combines Plus' front-end supply chain software with Vertex's back-end supply chain software portfolio, says Scott Wright, vice president, investor relations and corporate development, Vertex.
"Plus has what is called business intelligence software, which allows our customers to mine and take further advantage of the data that is collected all along the supply chain, especially at the point of sale," says Wright. Vertex has made several acquisitions in the past 18 months.
