According to a survey done by the Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems (AGVS) Product Section of the Material Handling Industry of America, 83% of AGVS users would consider implementing another system. The average user has three systems in place. Nearly half have between two and five vehicles in operation. The largest systems have 26 or more vehicles. Applications range from standard warehousing operations to various activities in manufacturing including movement of components, work-in-process, and finished goods to and from assembly areas.
