Reach truck works indoors or out
The ETVC 16 Retrak reach truck requires 30 percent less aisle space for storing and retrieving loads than many similar trucks. Designed with high-traction tires for outdoor use and a narrow profile for indoor applications, the truck is equipped with an ergonomic operator cab with easy-to-reach controls. An extra-strong open mast provides unobstructed views of loads, and the reach legs extend up to 35.4 inches. The three-wheel truck has an AC-powered 48-volt electric motor that provides increased performance with reduced maintenance. The 'solo-pilot' control lever allows the operator to manipulate hydraulics, direction, lifting functions and horn with minimal effort. Truck capacity is up to 6,000 pounds.

Fixed-position RFID tag reader
Sentient RFR-02 is a fixed-position radio frequency identification (RFID) tag reader for use in factory automation, captive and closed-loop applications, and automated materials handling applications. The compact, self-contained unit incorporates a modulator/demodulator, analog-to-digital converter, decoder and communications in a rugged enclosure. Thanks to an RF power-amplifier module, the unit can be used as either a low-power, short-range or a medium-power, long-range device. It can also write manufacturing data, such as sub-assembly and quality-test data, onto an RFID tag as an item passes through the production process.

Easy-to-use packaging system
The Fill-Air TS table side protective packaging system is small enough to fit easily beside or behind any packaging workbench. Easy to operate, the system saves time in producing inflatable cushions for packaging applications. The entire system, including the air blower, is electric and works off of a standard 100-volt outlet. Rolls of uninflated bags are installed on the mandrel. The bags then are automatically drawn through the two rollers, inflated with air, sealed and collected in the cushion bin. An automatic refill feature senses when the cushion supply is low and automatically begins producing more cushions to replenish the supply. When the cushion bin is full, the system ceases production.

Lift loads to ergonomic heights
Battery-powered hydraulic elevating cart decreases injuries and increases ergonomics and productivity. The cart is capable of transporting engines, boxes, crates or any other item weighing up to 1,000 pounds. Once in place, the cart lifts the load to an ergonomic height to reduce bending and reaching. Five-inch polyurethane casters, two rigid and two swivel, are standard. The platform size is 25 1/2 inches wide x 40 1/2 inches long, with a raised height range of 15 1/4 inches to 35 inches.

Quick AGV configuration
Quick Configurable Automation (Q-CAN) technology for automatic guided vehicle systems lets users design, demonstrate and implement an AGV system in a few days. Through a standard PC program, Q-CAN can quickly configure non-wire AGV path layouts and define system operations. It also supports remote AGV call and dispatch functions. The program requires no CAD or software experience and features a Windows-like view for ease of installation and operation.

Software complies with carrier requirements
Logistics PRO 7.0 transportation management system helps companies avoid charge-backs associated with using rates, labeling, and manifest and EDI formats that are not carrier-compliant. The software includes recently added requirements for major parcel carriers as well as a carrier compliance toolkit that establishes carrier profiles and helps shippers adapt to the requirements of smaller carriers. Users can design labels and electronic manifests to meet carriers' compliance guidelines. It can be used as a stand-alone product or in conjunction with PkMS software.

Dock-door track bypasses obstructions
The XL 12/12 P door-track system lets rugged knockout doors operate on walls with a wide range of support structures and roof pitches. The track makes a 45-degree roof-pitch angle above the door, which allows door panels to open past ductwork, conduit runs, horizontal beams and other obstructions while minimizing track exposure to forklift masts. The track has a double groove formed at the point where the tracks begin their angle transition, thus allowing the door to operate within headroom as low as 18 inches.

Crane scales for safe weighing
The RON series of crane scales makes load measurement smooth and quick. Nine different models fit a range of applications and budgets. They are available with fixed indicators or with wireless, handheld or detachable indicators to ensure operators maintain a safe distance from the load. The scales are constructed of aerospace-quality alloy steel that stands up to repetitive abuse while maintaining quality. Units are coated with polyurethane to repel contaminants and extend performance life.

Steel containers for heavy loads
Folding corrugated steel containers can withstand twice the weight capacity of plastic counterparts. The containers can integrate the movement of heavy loads from location to location via truck or rail. They feature hinged, half-drop access doors on either side, which provide easy access for loading and unloading. The containers can be configured with a variety of options, including kanban holders, bar code plates, conveyor skid rails, and fork stirrups or sleeves, as well as custom sizes and colors.

Conveyor rollers for heavy-duty jobs
The 1900 series conveyor rollers are for heavy-duty applications, such as palletizing, bulk handling and foundry operations. The rollers are constructed of heavy-gauge steel with Unibloc welded-end construction for load capacities up to 1,346 pounds. The rollers come with precision ground bearings and a triple labyrinth seal and shield, which prevents large particles from entering the bearing shaft and ejects small particles as the roller turns. The rollers are available in 2.5-, 3.5-, 4- and 5-inch diameters with lengths from 8 inches to 78 inches.

Reduce harmful lift-truck emissions
Emissions control device (ECD) reduces harmful gases
produced by gasoline and liquid propane gas engines in lift trucks and other
materials handling vehicles. A new design changes the shape to a cylinder to
allow exhaust to flow more efficiently through the cylindrical substrate. The
ignitor has also been updated with a new rod-to-tube design, and the 360-degree
arc design doubles the arcing process and neutralizes more toxins from engine
exhaust. Unlike catalytic converters, the ECD cleans exhaust immediately and
doesn't need to heat up to operating temperatures. Carbon monoxide emissions are
reduced to 10 parts per million, versus 150 ppm with catalytic converters.

Printer/applicator for hard-to-reach spaces
The PA1000t/b tamp blow printer/applicator applies labels to convex, concave or flat surfaces on the top or side of a product. The size of the tamp pad varies, which allows the use of labels sized from 1 inch x 3 inch to 4 inch x 6.5 inch. The adjustable guide rods stop the tamp pad at a height between 1/2 inch to 2 inches from the product surface; the label is then blown onto the product from the appropriate distance. The bar code printer/applicator can run as a stand-alone unit or in conjunction with a PC using Easylabel software for custom design and printing of bar codes, labels and tags.

High-volume, low-speed fans
Large high-volume, low-speed ceiling fans cost less than a nickel an hour to operate. The fans circulate air over an area as large as 20,000 square feet using just 1 horsepower. The noiseless fans range in size from 8 to 24 feet in diameter and create a reduction of effective temperature of 6 to 8 degrees in the summer. In winter months, the fans circulate heated air from the ceiling back down to the floor, creating a more comfortable working environment for employees.
