Blinco Systems Inc., a provider of global ERP systems for mid-market firms, announced a new application service provider (ASP)/subscription-style pricing model."
"We implement the system at the customer's site like a traditional ERP system. But they pay for the system over time like an ASP subscription or lease to own model," said Julia Hidy, director of communications.

McHugh becomes RedPrairieWhat's in a name?
Everything if you're McHugh Software, which after 27 years announced a new name: RedPrairie.
The change reflects not just a new name, but a new strategy for selling supply chain execution software solutions, said John Jazwiec, formerly the CEO and now company results leader.
In place of a traditional licensing fee arrangement, RedPrairie will offer clients the option of paying the software provider based on measurable and quantifiable results from their solutions.
"Too many companies are dissatisfied with the results of their IT investments," Jazwiec said. "We're taking the risk away from our customers and shifting it to us. We will be measured and compensated by how much money we're saving on behalf of the customer."
"We're so confident in the breadth and quality of our solutions, that we're willing to guarantee results," Jazwiec added.
