More than 1,500 exhibitors will fill 1.2 million square feet of Chicago's McCormick Place November 3-7 at Pack Expo International 2002 (www.packexpo.com). Industrial packaging solutions from labeling and tracking systems to totes and containers for a wide range of uses will be on display at the every-other-year event, sponsored by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute. A concurrent conference program features more than 50 speakers. Subjects of note include: how robotics are changing the palletizing paradigm; new automatic guided vehicles and how they benefit packaging operations; shrink wrapping as a cost saving strategy, and; steel shipping platforms, to name four.
