Attached-lid container exceeds industry standards
The FlapNest 2115 series of attached-lid containers, available in heights of 9 and 12 inches, offer security and materials handling enhancements that exceed all critical specifications for industry-standard distribution containers. New features include tamper-resistant, all-plastic hinges for longer life, safer use and increased recycle value, and ergonomic deeper contoured handles for greater access when nested. A superior five-to-one nesting ratio greatly reduces freight costs and storage space requirements, while a patented, leak-resistant lid eliminates contamination of the container's contents.

Readers enhanced with networking interface
A series of fixed-position Data Matrix and bar code readers adds a communication networking capability to provide real-time deterministic response on automated production lines. The readers, which are Profibus-DP slave compliant, act as slaves on the network and send information to the programmable logic controller or any other master device. A patented set-up feature aligns the readers in seconds. The incorporation of a Profibus connector and the standard RS-232 connector eliminates the need for external components, wires, connectors or program interfaces.

Inductive EMS increases system uptime
An inductive electrified monorail system (EMS) with non-contact power and data transmission works without wearing parts. Appropriate for such applications as production, assembly and distribution/warehousing, the EMS is comprised of an integrated power/data line in the rail and pick-ups on the vehicle. The drive power is passed to the vehicle as induced current when the pick-ups pass through the magnetic field created by a local converter. The data is modulated into the carrier frequency and demodulated by the vehicle control. The lack of contact between the power/data line and the pick-ups results in no dust being created from wearing brushes.
