NRF show will highlight distribution
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 1/1/2003
The National Retail Federation will hold its 92nd annual convention this month at New York's Javits Center. In addition to lessons in design, finance, marketing, the NRF 2003 Expo will feature developments in the retail distribution supply chain. That's the theme of a specialty pavilion called Logistics Lane, a collection of shipping and distribution suppliers who can help get your products to their destinations despite recent challenges in the poor economy, fluctuations in consumer demand, and spiking security pressure. New this year, NRF offers free conference sessions such as: "Beyond the Bar (Code)—Introducing the intelligent value chain," "Fiscal Forecast: economic outlook 2003," "Back For More: Fulfilling multi-channel fulfillment by getting consumer delivery right," and "Managing the Retail IT Portfolio." The show runs Jan. 12-15. For more information, click here.
