Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 1/1/2003
Two pioneers in materials handling education were recently recognized by Material Handling Industry of America.
The 2002 Norman L. Cahners Award went to CICMHE, the College and Industry Council on Material Handling Education, for its work in "developing educational material and preparing students for careers in material handling," said J. Sherman McLaughlin, president of the board of MHIA's education foundation.
The second honor went to Robert J. Graves, a professor at Rensselaer Poly-technic Institute. He won the Reed-Apple Award for his contribution to "the science be-hind what we now teach about material handling in this country."
