Siemens Dematic and Manhattan Associates signed an agreement stating that Siemens will become a channel reseller of Manhattan's supply chain execution (SCE) solutions. As preferred partners, the two companies will integrate Siemens Dematic's MHE FlowControl, a new warehouse controls system (WCS), with Manhattan's SCE solutions and MHE systems. The WCS will let the two systems exchange data regardless of format. Siemens Dematic plans to eventually create its own interface to Manhattan's supply chain execution solutions to help ensure a similar "look and feel" to its other software offerings. Whatever the endeavor, Siemens will forge ahead with the view that "more and more integrated supply chains require clear standardized technological structures to manage the processes at any time," said Siemens Dematic AG chief executive officer and president Dietmar Straub.
