Overhead material handling company Magnetek Inc. has acquired Telemotive Industrial Controls, a manufacturer of wireless remote controls and anti-collision systems for overhead cranes, hoists, monorails and conveyors. Telemotive will continue to operate out of its facility in Glendale Heights, IL. Magnetek designs and manufactures electrification and control products for overhead materials handling. The company plans to couple Telemotive with its Electromotive Systems and Mondel Engineering divisions, says Peter McCormick, general manager of Magnetek's Industrial Controls Group.
