Six companies build pallet transfer solution

Six suppliers of materials handling equipment banded together at ProMat to create a fully automated solution to load, unload, transfer and transport pallet loads. "People need to know that suppliers can work together for the common good of the end user," explains Gary Janz, chief executive officer of LB International, which provides the gravity flow lanes and transfer device in the solution. Other components include: a guided vehicle from Egemin Automation; pallet conveyor from HK Systems; modeling and computer simulation from Ryson; controls from Guardian; and rack and mezzanine from Ross/Dexco.
