Regional logistics and supply chain execution seminars set
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 4/1/2003
Need to keep up with the latest developments in logistics and supply chain execution? A series of regional seminars is being offered by the Logistics Execution Systems Association (LESA) of Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA). The seminars reveal how these solutions can improve business operations.
According to Mike Ogle, director of technical and engineering services, MHIA, the format of the seminars allows for interactive education.
"Keynote speakers provide background information such as the functions of various tools and factors to consider in decision-making. Then, attendees can listen to case studies presented by end users and choose from a variety of breakout topics," says Ogle.
The first of the 2003 series of seminars is April 10 in Los Angeles, CA. Features include keynote speaker Susan Rider of RedPrairie, along with case history presentations from Herbalife and Electronic Arts. A second seminar, to be held May 15 in Charlotte, NC, will feature keynote John Hill of eSYNC and case study presentations from Coty and Gillette.
Eighty to 100 attendees from logistics, operations and IT are anticipated at each of the seminars.
