New ownership at Vertical Systems

Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 5/1/2003

Vertical Systems Inc. was recently acquired by a new company, Vertical Systems International, LLC. The new company will be managed by materials handling veteran Daniel Quinn, and will remain at its present location in Walton, KY.

According to Quinn, the company will continue to supply its broad line of vertical lifting equipment. This includes continuous, indexing and reciprocating vertical lifts as well as pallet stackers and unstackers. The lifts are available with programmable logic control, sensors with quick disconnects, extensive safety guarding and energy management features. Other products include turn tables, right angle transfers and vertical storage units.

"Vertical Systems' product lines are generally part of more comprehensive materials handling systems," explains Quinn. As a result, the company's "primary emphasis will be placed on delivering the right product for the application on time and at a fair price," he adds. Quinn says Vertical Systems will work closely with distributors and systems integrators in the materials handling field.
