The Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) and the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) have begun a collaborative effort to develop an overhead crane operator certification program. Development will continue throughout the year with an introduction of the program slated for first quarter of 2004. CMAA (www.mhia.org) has teamed up with NCCO because the latter has had great success with its mobile crane certification program.
