George Henry Webb, chairman of the board of Jervis B. Webb Co., died April 21 at the age of 83. Throughout his 61-year career with the company, he held many positions, beginning as a draftsman in 1942. Webb held several senior management positions including company secretary and treasurer, executive vice president, president and chief executive officer. During his tenure, Webb was instrumental in growing Jervis B. Webb Co. into the 14^th largest materials handling systems supplier in the world with more than $250 million in revenue in 2002.
