If you're looking for ways to better manage data across the supply chain, Frontline's International Supply Chain Week Conference and Expo is the place to be September 15 - 18 at Chicago's McCormick Place North.
Advanstar Communications Inc., which produces the event, expects more than 150 exhibitors and over 6,000 attendees (click here for a preview of what some exhibitors will be talking about on the show floor). In addition, more than 40 solutions-focused conference sessions, five exclusive industry forums and more will be on tap. The educational sessions run the 15th to 18th while the Expo is open the 16th to 18th.
The event's longtime sponsor, the automatic data capture trade organization AIM Inc., has been joined this year by the Uniform Code Council Inc. (UCC) in developing the comprehensive educational program. The UCC, a non-profit organization for standards-based global supply chain solutions, will produce numerous conference tracks including ones on bar codes, radio frequency identification (RFID), mobile and wireless solutions, e-collaboration, and supply chain planning and execution.
Attendees will also receive firsthand technology solutions from General Motors and the Department of Defense Logistics, among others, at vertical industry forums. Featured industries include aerospace, industrial, automotive, defense and electronics.
To kick off the afternoon of September 17th, Gregory Mekjian, vice president of extended supply chain management at SAP America, will deliver the keynote speech "Breaking Down Business Barriers: How Visibility and Collaboration Can Improve Manufacturing Effectiveness."
Attendees can also participate in a new pharmaceutical summit and the interactive learning lab on automatic identification and data capture technologies (AIDC). The third annual RFID summit will feature a clinic for understanding terms, technology, standards and applications.
