Learning about the fundamentals and key developments of materials handling is now easier than ever. The Material Handling Industry of America and Material Handling Institute have created self-paced electronic lessons and other learning materials online at www.mhia.org.

These free e-lessons cover a range of subjects including equipment basics, capital investments, and certification and sales training. Also offered are lessons focusing on the tools and principles professionals use to analyze, design and modernize production and warehousing operations. Activity relationship charts and inventory management practices as well as operation and flow process charts are a few of the applications examined.
