"WMS and Warehouse Performance," a new publication from WERC, the Warehousing Education and Research Council, examines the benefits and challenges WERC members are realizing from their warehouse management systems (WMS).

"We surveyed 941 of our members to see the benefits and challenges they are realizing from WMS systems," says Rita Coleman, senior director of education and research. "While it may not be surprising, we confirmed that those who implemented a WMS are realizing operational benefits."

"We found that there are internal efficiencies and external performance that may not be possible without a WMS," says Coleman. "For someone looking to justify a system, this report helps clarify the pros and the cons of a system."

A hard copy or CD-ROM of the report can be purchased for $10 by WERC members and $20 by non-members.
