The Crane Manufacturers Association has just released specifications for two different types of overhead cranes. Specification 70 is for top-running bridge and gantry-type, multiple-girder electric overhead traveling cranes. Specification 72 is for top-running, single-girder electric traveling cranes. Both specs include seven sections; general specifications, crane classifications, structural design, mechanical design, electrical equipment, a crane inquiry data sheet, and a glossary.
