What do BMW, McKesson Pharmaceutical and Corporate Express have in common?

Each was honored at Modern Materials Handling magazine's 14^th annual Productivity Awards Dinner at NA 2004. They posted major gains in the efficiency of their plant, warehouse, or distribution center operations with outstanding materials handling and supply chain practices. In short, they are productivity winners. Platinum sponsor of the evening was Intelligrated.

BMW Manufacturing Corporation was chosen for its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, S.C., which builds vehicles to specific customer specifications.

McKesson Pharmaceutical, the winner for warehousing, processes up to 35,000 orders per day from a 225,000 square foot facility in Lakeland, Fla.

And the winner for distribution excellence was Corporate Express, which consolidated three DCs into a new distribution center in Secaucus, N.J.
