TrenStar Inc., the O-T-D Corp. and Matrics Inc. have partnered to deliver the first standardized, RFID-ready reusable aluminum containers—and the supply chain management of those containers—to the synthetic rubber industry.

TrenStar will combine their pay-per-use mobile asset management business model and outsourced logistics services with Matrics' UHF passive RFID technology, and with heavy-duty aluminum containers from O-T-D.

"Now by having more reliable container location and condition information, these companies can reduce their losses of both assets and contents, as well as reduce operating costs," says David Adams, TrenStar's corporate strategy senior vice president.
