New mobile asset tracker from RedPrairie

Supply chain execution software supplier RedPrairie (262-317-2000, www.redprairie.com) has unveiled DLx Mobile
Resource Management (MRM), a Web-based solution for tracking and managing mobile
assets. RedPrairie's industry strategy leader, Michael Dempsey, said the radio
frequency identification (RFID)-based system is designed to track high-value
assets in the supply chain.
DLx MRM system supports the identification and monitoring of mobile resources and their status, using bar codes and RFID to provide real-time asset location visibility. The system consists of RFID tags, readers and data management and collection software. The system can be integrated with a warehouse management system or enterprise resource planning application.
In a related developed, RedPrairie announced a strategic partnership with Radiant Wave LLC to focus on mobile asset management solutions. The agreement means that Radiant Wave will be able to resell RedPrairie's suite of RFID-enabled warehouse, transportation and asset management systems.
