Freight bill module streamlines payments

Pinnacle Distribution Concepts Inc. (865-281-7025, www.freightlogic.com) has introduced a
new freight bill payment module for its Web-based transportation management
system (TMS), Freight-Logic. The freight payment module is designed to automate
and streamline the in-house freight payment process.
The new module provides authorized payment records, notes receipt of freight charges from the carrier, enables automatic shipment validation, audits and authorizes payment records, and provides historical tracking and reporting. Bryan McKenzie, president of Pinnacle Distribution, said the freight payment module will set up terms of payment, but does not do the fund transfer itself.
The FreightLogic TMS supports the following modes: parcel, LTL, truckload, intermodal, air and United States Postal Service. It can rate and select carriers, handle shipment tracking, and engage in load planning and optimization.
