Robocom WMS now compatible with RFID
Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 7/1/2004
Software maker Robocom Systems (516-795-5100, www.robocom.com) said its "RIMS" warehouse management system (WMS) will now support radio frequency identification (RFID) in warehousing. It will generate Electronic Product Code (EPC) identifiers for pallets, cases and individual units shipped from the warehouse using the RIMS application. In addition, the software will also be able to read EPCs during receiving or shipment validation at a warehouse.
Using the compliance labeling module, especially designed for EPC generation, the RIMS Toolkit and an RFID tag printer, RIMS will create RFID tags. It can also cull EPC information and transmit the tag data.
