TMS demand strong through 2008
By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/2004
Numbers can be deceiving. Last year, sales of transportation management systems (TMS) grew by only 1.6% overall, reports the research group ARC ( www.arcweb.com). In fact, the market was much stronger than that. When revenues of the three largest suppliers, which all had financial struggles in 2003, are removed, overall TMS growth was 10.6%. That sets the stage, says Gonzalez, for cumulative annual growth of 7.1% over the next five years.
