Though RFID has been widely deployed, the new wave of supply chain mandates from leading retailers, both here and in Europe, and the U.S. Department of Defense, have given rise to significant commentary on the state of readiness of the applied technologies. This has led to confusion and misunderstanding in the market about RFID and the opportunities and benefits it can bring to companies.  This session will dispel some of the most commonly propagated myths and demonstrate how the physical layer (tags and readers) and software solutions have been developed and applied.

This Webcast, presented by Deloitte and HighJump Software, will discuss the myths associated with RFID, as well as the benefits. Chris Hook, senior manager, RF solutions group, Deloitte and Mark Eischens, product manager, RFID solutions, of software company, HighJump along with Gary Forger of Modern Materials Handling will discuss how RFID is being deployed. They will explain what is needed to be ready for the mandate.
