What's the payback for RFID?

Good question. And the answer is not all that encouraging at this point, says the research group ARC .
In talking to 24 companies actively investing in RFID, ARC analyst Steve Banker found only one company that expects a two-year payback. All others said the return on investment period would be longer than that. Nevertheless, there is an expectation that RFID does offer a potential for savings.
