Save space with new VLM

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 2/1/2005

Remstar International, Inc. announced the release of its new Shuttle XP vertical lift module (VLM).

The Shuttle XP shelves can be re-organized to adjust to multiple business needs. The shuttle door provides security while also reducing noise and contamination. The system is capable of sorting pallets as well, and provides extra security as needed for valuable products.

Units come in seven standard sizes and various other configurations. The VLM is pre-built with modules that can be added or removed to increase or decrease capacity at any time. It can handle loads up to 132,000 pounds and reach up to 65 feet. A tooth belt system, constructed of a steel-reinforced rubber material, keeps in constant contact with the shelving, prolonging life expectancy.
