InSight Automation's ConveyTraxIP is the world's first conveyor to have an onboard computer system that tracks products flowing on its rails, according to Randy Combs, president of InSight.

The system can be configured quickly on InSight's virtual platform on a PC to mirror the system laid out on the DC floor. The PC is then plugged into an Ethernet port located on the conveyor system and determines the conveyor's operation.

For more traditional conveyor systems, InSight has released ConveyNetIP, a conveyor control center mounted alongside the conveyor for ease of use.
