A look into supply chain innovation and preparedness will be presented by two divergent speakers at the Supply-Chain World-North America (SCWNA) 2005 Conference and Exposition.
Taking place in Orlando, Fla. from April 4–6, the conference will feature Bill Patrizio, senior vice president, strategic sourcing and procurement, the Walt Disney Company, and Dr. Yossi Sheffi, professor of civil and environmental engineering and engineering systems director, Center for Transportation and Logistics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
"We are very pleased to have speakers of this caliber," said Bruce Bowman, event chair and senior manager, process and systems integration, Boeing. "They will set the tone for what has traditionally been one of the strongest programs offered to supply chain professionals."
Patrizio will present "Disney's Best Practice Journey: Supply Chain Management the Disney Way."
Sheffi will open Tuesday's events with his keynote presentation, "From Resilience to Flexibility: Creating Competitive Advantage While Preparing for Worst Case Scenarios." Sheffi will examine supply chain designs that maximize resilience and help improve daily operations. For more information, visit www.supply-chain.org or call 412-781-4101.
