RedPrairie integrates labor management with SAP's NetWeaver
Integration with the new enterprise software architectures was also front and center at RedShift, the annual user conference sponsored by RedPrairie in Miami earlier this month.

That's where RedPrairie announced that it is in the process of preparing its labor management solution, known as workforce performance management (WPM), to integrate with SAP’s NetWeaver infrastructure platform.

Reaping the benefits of global MES
Manufacturers who implement a manufacturing execution system (MES) at just one location are missing the boat when it comes to reaping the true potential rewards from MES, according to Allison Smith, senior research analyst for process and manufacturing operations at AMR Research.

But there are greater rewards in store for companies that take a supply chain view and implement a standard MES package across their enterprise.
