Lauyans purchases Richards-Wilcox automated storage

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 7/1/2005

Lauyans & Company, Inc., a materials handling systems provider, has purchased the complete line of automated storage systems from Richards-Wilcox, Inc.

Based in Louisville, Ky., Lauyans takes over the full line of Richards-Wilcox automated vertical and horizontal carousel-based units as well as High Cube II vertical lift storage modules. The units are designed to free up floor space by maximizing vertical space while minimizing the storage footprint.

Tom Hartwein, operations manager for Lauyans, told Modern that his company had offered a customized AS/RS for years.
