Get on board with real time

By Staff -- Modern Materials Handling, 9/1/2005

Don't forget to sign up for Modern's "Real Time Plant & Warehouse Virtual Conference" on Sept. 8. And if you miss it that day, it will be archived at www.mmh.com/realtime until early December.

Available exclusively online, the virtual conference focuses on the changing face of real-time information. Some key components of real-time systems are already in place – bar codes, programmable controllers, sensors, and execution and planning systems. But these are only the building blocks of the future.

The conference features Jim Tompkins, of Tompkins Associates, Inc., on the importance of real time to your future. Two other tracks will feature how real time is changing operations and what it takes to be a real-time leader.
