Diamond Phoenix enters AS/RS market

Having moved from carousel supplier to systems integrator lately, Diamond Phoenix has now added automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) to its lineup.

The Lewiston, Maine-based materials handling solutions provider has introduced the Vectura AS/RS with a modular design configurable to a myriad of applications.

"This is a new step for Diamond Phoenix to expand split case pallet handling to full pallet handling," says Larry Strayhorn, president of Diamond Phoenix. While adding AS/RS to its lineup, Strayhorn says the company will still outsource conveyors, rack and other equipment for systems it installs.

"Pallet handling is a new thing for us," he mentions. "Not only does the release allow us to be a full service supplier to clients, it opens up new markets for us."
